What are the differences between the Certified ISO 45001 Auditor Conversion Course and the Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Course?

To gain the Certified Lead Auditor Qualification, there are 2 options:

ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Course:

• No of days: 5 Day (Approx. 40 hours)
• Delivery method: 3 Days Self-Paced followed by 2 Days Tutor Led Live-Workshop

ISO 45001 Auditor Conversion Course:

• No of days; 3 Days (approx. 24 hours)
• Delivery method: 1 Day Self-Paced followed by 2 Days Tutor Led Live-Workshop

Both courses provide CQI and IRCA Certified professional level qualifications, and hold equal weight in counting towards the application to become an IRCA Certified Auditor.

Should I do the Auditor Conversion or Lead Auditor Course?

The 3 Day Auditor Conversion Course is designed for those who have prior knowledge of Health and Safety management principles and concepts, and the requirements of ISO 45001, and have experience conducting ‘real world’ audits.

Additionally, in order to be eligible to attend the Auditor Conversion Course you must have successfully completed and passed a CQI and IRCA certified Lead Auditor course in another discipline, for example, the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Lead Auditor Course.

If you don’t satisfy this criteria, then you may feel more comfortable undertaking the full 5 day Lead Auditor Course instead.

Build Your Career and Increase your Net Worth by becoming an IRCA Certified ISO 45001 Lead Auditor

ISO 45001 is the occupational health and safety management system standard that replaces OHSAS 18001. Organisations who are accredited to OHSAS 18001 must have transitioned to ISO 45001 by September 30th 2021.

Consequently demand for ISO 45001 professionals is steadily growing as organisations transition from the old standard, and also new organisations seek to implement the standard to improve their health and safety management and control. This trend will increase in the future, ensuring that auditors with ISO 45001 certified credentials will be in high demand from organisations worldwide.

Train to Become a Professional Health and Safety Auditor

This course will give you the skills and expertise needed to competently manage a OHSMS (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) audit program.  You will learn how to lead a team, plan, execute and report on an assessment of an OHSMS against the standard ISO 45001:2018.

This course is provided by SEQM TRAINING, a CQI and IRCA Approved Training Provider, and will provide a professional lead auditor qualification certified by CQI and IRCA – the globally recognised ultimate standard for auditing competence.

Experienced ISO 45001 auditors and practitioners show you how to lead a OH&S management system project from start to finish. You will be taught the detailed theory and gain ‘hands on’ experience through practical application of the audit process to ISO management systems through discussion and role play. Best-practice audit methodology based on ISO 19011 is used throughout the course allowing you to master audit techniques.

On completing the course, passing the assessments and exam you will be presented with an CQI and IRCA certificate.  This proves that you have the knowledge and skills to be able to lead a team to conduct a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd party audit of a Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in any organisation – SME or multinational corporation. Furthermore, it ensures that you understand and can apply the knowledge you gained in each of the course’s modules, proving that you are a highly competent lead auditor.
