CANCELLATION POLICY

Introduction

SEQM Training is committed to providing quality CQI and IRCA Approved Training courses across various formats; Classroom, Blended Online, and Online Tutor-led. This policy outlines the options for course cancellations or rescheduling, aligned with both SEQM and CQI and IRCA rules.

Cancellation by SEQM Training

Course Cancellation:  We reserve the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrolment or unforeseen circumstances. Minimum enrolment numbers vary depending on the course type:

  • Online Tutor-led: 4 minimum, 10 maximum
  • Classroom: 4 minimum, 12 maximum (or 24 with two tutors)

Notification: Affected participants will be notified promptly and will be encouraged to join another course date depending on availability.

Liability: SEQM Training will not be responsible for additional costs including travel or accommodation but will make every effort to assist clients minimise such costs.

Cancellation by the Client

Preferred Option: The first option which will be offered to learners is to move to another available course date (or workshop date for Blended courses). SEQM Training will do everything possible to accommodate this. However, this depends on the availability of places and course sizes.

Notification: All cancellations and/or request for rescheduling must be received in writing via email to admin@seqmtraining.co.uk

Refund Policy

When learners request a refund (rather than reschedule), we will make every effort to provide a refund where feasible. However, it may be difficult for us to resell the place booked depending on the notice given. Therefore, the following applies at the discretion of SEQM training:

BLENDED COURSES (Self-paced + Tutor-led)

  • Self-paced materials are immediately available on booking with Blended Courses. Therefore,  in the case where self-paced materials have been started a maximum of a 50% refund will apply, regardless of the notice period given. 
  • In the case where self-paced materials have not yet been started, a refund will be offered depending on the notice given as follows: 
  • More than 30 days before the workshop:
        Full refund less £25 administration fee plus credit card charges. 
  • Between 10 and 30 days before the workshop:
        50% refund less £25 administration fee plus credit card charges. 
  • Less than 10 days before the workshop:
        No refund


TUTOR-LED COURSES

  • More than 30 days before the workshop:
    Full refund less £25 administration fee plus credit card charges.
  • Between 10 and 30 days before the workshop:
    50% refund less £25 administration fee plus credit card charges.
  • Less than 10 days before the workshop:
    No refund

Rescheduling Fees

When learners request a rescheduling of their course or workshop dates, it can disrupt the tutor’s course plans, and make it difficult and in some cases impossible to resell the original course place. Therefore the following rules apply at the discretion of SEQM Training:

  • No additional fees for rescheduling apply if the notice given is more than 10 days before the course.
  • Rescheduling within 10 days of the course is subject to a 10% surcharge for a first-time reschedule and 50% surcharge for a 2nd reschedule. More than 2 reschedules incur a 100% surcharge.

Special Circumstances

Emergencies:
For medical emergencies or bereavement, special consideration will be provided. Medical evidence may be required and protected in line with SEQM’s Data Protection Policy.
